Mesut Ozil a aidé 18 enfants ougandais à subir une opération chirurgicale qui a changé leur vie grâce au projet caritatif Big Shoe.

Big Shoe est une organisation caritative internationale qui aide les enfants défavorisés à subir des opérations médicales qui changent leur vie ; fentes labiales et palatines, cataractes, malformations cardiaques, brûlures, etc.

La star d’Arsenal est impliquée dans l’organisation caritative depuis 2014, date à laquelle il a pris en charge les 11 enfants qui ont dû être opérés lors de la Coupe du monde de 2014 au Brésil.

Depuis sa création en 2006, l’organisation a réalisé au total 1 600 opérations pour des enfants défavorisés dans le monde entier.

Mesut Ozil et sa femme Amine Gulse ont marqué leur mariage à Istanbul au cours de l’été en finançant des opérations chirurgicales de 1 000 enfants via BigShoe.
